La complessità del reale è spesso oltre la nostra comprensione, è difficile superare la soggettività che ne rende parziale la visione. Siamo abituati a pensare di dover raggiungere questo “Oltre” , ma nella sua opera, Lucia Lodeserto, sfrutta la Cecità Bianca, l’imperfezione, le sfocature per esprimerla e renderla fruibile.
La luce è nei limiti.

Beyond

The complexity of reality is often beyond our understanding, it is difficult to overcome the subjectivity that makes it partial.
We are used to thinking that we have to reach this “Beyond”, but in her work, Lucia Lodeserto, exploits White Blindness, imperfection and blur to express it and make it usable.
Light is within the limits.

Kompleksiteti i realitetit është shpesh përtej të kuptuarit tonë, është e vështirë të kapërcehet subjektiviteti që e bën atë të pjesshëm. Il fenachistoscopio di Lucia Lodeserto rende viva la materia statica, come se un fermo immagine venisse tirato fuori dall’oscurità della nostra memoria e fosse in grado di tornare alla luce, capace di tornare al momento in cui era vita reale. La luce permette, fendendo il buio, di spiegare le ali della falena e, come una rivelazione, ci riporta all’origine. La luce è movimento.

Spark

Lucia Lodeserto’s phenachytoscope brings static matter to life, as if a still picture was pulled out of the darkness of our memory and was able to return to the light, to the moment when it was real life. The light allows, by breaking through the darkness, to spread the moth’s wings and, like an epiphany, it takes us back to the origin.
Light is movement.
